Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath orders FIR over offensive remarks about Akhilesh Yadav's daughter

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said any insulting comment about a daughter is unacceptable and, after learning of offensive social‑media posts targeting Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter Aditi/Aditya, directed police to file a First Information Report. Four individuals were named in the FIR for posting the remarks. Yogi warned the Samajwadi Party chief to curb his supporters’ language, saying “if you cannot teach them restraint, hand them over to us.” The CM reiterated that “the village girl is everyone’s sister” and stressed the government's commitment to protect women’s dignity. The statement was made during a public rally in Azamgarh where Yogi also inaugurated several development projects worth over ₹9,500 crore. The incident has sparked a political spat between the BJP‑led state government and the Samajwadi Party.
