Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a zero‑tolerance policy for anyone exploiting the religious sentiments attached to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. He said the state acted swiftly after a Special Investigation Team report exposed prima facie irregularities in the handling of temple donations, leading to the registration of an FIR and the arrest of eight suspects.
