Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath pledges education support, job opportunities and storm relief during public outreach

On 4 May in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a Janata Darshan, meeting petitioners from across the state. He urged parents to enrol their children in school, noting that an educated child will build a prosperous India. He highlighted improvements in education over the past nine years and announced that the Basic Education Council will provide families with ₹1,200 for school supplies and fresh midday meals for children.

Adityanath also emphasized the transparency of government recruitment, stating that more than 9  lakh youths have been hired in the last nine years and that further vacancies will be announced this year, assuring that merit‑based hiring will continue. He addressed complaints of illegal land occupation, directing revenue, administration and police officials to investigate immediately and take appropriate action.

In response to severe rainstorms affecting several districts, the chief minister instructed district magistrates to keep relief machinery active, to ensure compensation for loss, injury or animal damage within 24 hours, and to accelerate rescue and medical treatment for those injured. He called for officials to stay in the field, gather real‑time information and coordinate relief efforts to minimise the impact of the adverse weather.
