Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath warns on road repairs, pledges museum for national heroes

During a two‑day visit to Agra, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath chaired a review meeting with local representatives and officials. He warned that neglect of pothole repairs on roads dug for water‑pipeline projects will result in FIRs, black‑listing of contractors, and orders that any damaged road be rebuilt by the responsible contractor. He also directed swift settlement of Ayushman Card payments and proper utilization of DBT‑transferred funds for basic education.

Adityanath announced a heritage museum in Agra dedicated to Indian national heroes such as Chhatrapati Shivaji, rejecting proposals for an “invader” museum. Funded from more than ₹342 crore allocated to 53 development projects, the museum is slated for completion by the end of the year. He highlighted additional initiatives: steps toward an international airport, the creation of a defense‑manufacturing corridor, and a hostel for 500 women workers in memory of Ahilyabai Holkar. The chief minister criticised opposition parties for past mismanagement and said Uttar Pradesh is advancing toward a "smart‑city, safe‑city" model.
