Uttar Pradesh expands women's self‑help schemes and civil‑aviation hubs under CM Yogi Adityanath

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, says more than 18.55  lakh women have become “Lakhpati Didi” through the Lakhpati Didi Yojana and related self‑help‑group initiatives. The programme links women to skill‑development, entrepreneurship and credit support, helping them earn incomes above one lakh rupees annually and increasing their decision‑making power in households and communities.

At the same time, the state is upgrading its civil‑aviation network. New terminals and land acquisitions are underway at Gorakhpur, Agra, Kanpur, Aligarh, Moradabad and Shravasti airports, with a new civil terminal already inaugurated at Kanpur and a terminal under construction at Gorakhpur. Investments total hundreds of crore rupees, aimed at boosting regional connectivity, tourism, industry and employment across Uttar Pradesh.
