Uttar Pradesh government to purchase cow urine for medicine production

The Uttar Pradesh government is planning to purchase cow urine to be used in the production of medicines and other applications. Cabinet Minister Dharmpal Singh announced that under a scheme in Bulandshahr, the government intends to buy cow urine at a rate of 10 rupees per liter.

The initiative aims to involve 300 women as shareholders, with a projected profit of 2 rupees per liter. Singh emphasized the importance of indigenous cows, stating that the government is also working with cow dung and urine to support welfare and industrial uses.

The plan has faced criticism from Samajwadi Party MP Ruchi Veera, who argued that the government is using the scheme to distract from critical issues such as student education, national development, youth employment, health, and security.
