Uttar Pradesh increases Anganwadi worker honorarium to ₹12,000

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a significant increase in the monthly honorarium for Anganwadi workers, raising it from ₹3,000 to ₹12,000. In addition to the pay raise, the workers will receive health insurance benefits to support their social welfare and security.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government has focused on economic self-reliance for women by involving self-help groups in the production and distribution of take-home rations. This move aims to ensure transparency and combat malnutrition. Furthermore, over 400,000 women across 31 districts are contributing to the rural economy through milk production by partnering with various dairy companies.
