Uttar Pradesh initiates 74-km expressway to link Jewar Airport
The Uttar Pradesh government has moved forward with the construction of a new 74-kilometer, 6-lane access-controlled greenfield expressway designed to connect Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) with the Ganga Expressway.
The project, for which tenders have been issued, will begin near the Yamuna Expressway and pass through Bulandshahr before connecting to the Ganga Expressway near Syana. The corridor is expected to pass through 56 villages, including 8 in Noida and 48 in the Bulandshahr district. Approximately 20 kilometers of the route will traverse the New Noida area, enhancing connectivity for upcoming industrial and commercial zones.
Construction will be completed in two phases: the first phase covers 24 kilometers from Bhairupur Brahmanan in Greater Noida to Bichhola in Bulandshahr, while the second phase spans 50 kilometers from Bichhola to Bahanpur in Syana. The infrastructure plan includes four railway overbridges, one flyover, three large bridges, 11 small bridges, and seven underpasses. The project aims for completion within three years.
