Series of violent crimes reported in Uttar Pradesh, India

Police in Uttar Pradesh have investigated several serious crimes in recent days. In Bijnor district, a 35‑year‑old nurse from Mumbai named Sana was allegedly strangled by her boyfriend Faisal and buried after she pressured him to marry her, according to Circle Officer Abhay Kumar Pandey. The suspect has been arrested and officials are searching for the body.

In Firozabad’s Shikohabad area, retired police sub‑inspector Rakesh Yadav shot his wife, Murti Devi, and then turned the revolver on himself. Both died, and the case is being examined by senior officers.

Separately, in Muzaffarnagar’s Charthawal police‑station area, a 24‑year‑old woman was allegedly drugged and gang‑raped by four men. The victim was found in a forested area and taken for treatment; three police teams have been formed to apprehend the accused.

All incidents are under investigation by Uttar Pradesh law‑enforcement agencies.
