Uttar Pradesh minister says SIT probe will reveal truth in Ram temple dispute

Cabinet minister Manoj Pandey of Uttar Pradesh told reporters that a high‑level Special Investigation Team is examining the "chadhava" (illegal encroachment) controversy surrounding the Ram temple project in Ayodhya, and that "the truth will come out" for everyone. He said he cannot comment further until the investigation is finished.

Pandey referenced Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s promise of swift justice and responded to accusations from Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, urging that earlier investigations, such as the Mathura police operation in which a sub‑inspector was killed and dozens of officers injured, should also be disclosed fully. He emphasized that the temple is viewed by millions of Hindus as a sacred undertaking and warned against attempts to undermine it.

The minister’s remarks come amid ongoing political debate over the temple’s construction and related land‑use disputes in the state.
