Uttar Pradesh officials conduct voter list registration drives
Authorities in Uttar Pradesh are conducting special campaigns to update voter lists and ensure eligible citizens are registered for upcoming elections. In Bareilly, District Magistrate Avinash Singh inspected various polling stations, including those in the Bareilly Cantt, Bithri Chainpur, and Faridpur assembly constituencies, to review facilities, cleanliness, and accessibility.
District officials have instructed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to ensure no eligible citizen is left out of the electoral rolls. Training sessions were also held for magistrates to ensure the upcoming MLC elections are conducted transparently and efficiently. A follow-up special campaign is scheduled for October 24.
In Gautam Buddha Nagar, a similar registration drive was held across the Noida, Dadri, and Jewar assembly constituencies. During the campaign, help desks were established at hundreds of polling stations to assist citizens with Form-6 (new registration), Form-7 (deletion of names), and Form-8 (corrections). In the Noida constituency alone, 957 Form-6 applications were received, while Dadri saw 1,118 applications for new registrations.
