Uttar Pradesh police arrest suspects in Haridwar murder and Firozabad assault cases

Police in Uttar Pradesh have made arrests in two separate criminal investigations.

In Haridwar, authorities arrested two men, Ritik Panwar and Deepak Panwar, for the murder of their friend Kapil. The incident occurred during a drinking session where a dispute arose over money and the victim's attempt to record a video. The suspects allegedly killed Kapil and threw his body into a canal in Tikola village.

In Firozabad, police arrested Rahul Yadav in connection with the death of a young woman following an alleged sexual assault in a hotel. The victim, who worked in Gurugram, had traveled to Shikohabad to visit a friend. A post-mortem report indicated the cause of death was excessive bleeding and head injuries. While the primary suspect is in custody, police are searching for a second accomplice.
