Uttar Pradesh Police launches ‘Khaki Ka Sitara’ theme song
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched ‘Khaki Ka Sitara’, a new theme song for the Uttar Pradesh Police, during an event in Lucknow. The song features vocals by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, with music composed by Shankar Mahadevan and lyrics by Alok Srivastava.
During the unveiling, Chief Minister Adityanath emphasized a ‘zero tolerance’ policy toward crime, stating that improved security has provided the state with a new identity. He noted that the region has remained free from riots and curfews over the last nine years, attributing this stability to strong governance and effective policing.
Actor Nana Patekar attended the event and praised the state's law and order improvements under the current leadership. He remarked that maintaining security in a diverse state with a population of approximately 250 million requires strong leadership and clear policy rather than just increasing personnel. Patekar also expressed concern regarding the rise of cybercrime and ‘digital arrests,’ urging citizens to remain vigilant against fraudulent calls from individuals impersonating law enforcement officers.
