Uttar Pradesh real estate sector sees 217 new project registrations

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has registered 217 real estate projects through September 2026, representing a combined investment of Rs 46,795 crore and 66,158 proposed units.

Western Uttar Pradesh accounted for the largest share of activity, with 111 projects valued at Rs 35,794.56 crore. At the district level, Gautam Buddha Nagar led in total capital and scale with 18,599 units worth Rs 21,221.37 crore, while Lucknow recorded the highest number of individual project registrations with 59 projects.

In a separate regulatory update, UP RERA has extended the deadline for filing Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR) for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, to October 31, 2026. This extension aims to facilitate the implementation of a new mandatory digital signature process for certificates issued by architects, engineers, and chartered accountants.
