Uttar Pradesh reports two brutal assaults on youths in viral videos

Two separate incidents of brutal violence against young men have surfaced in Uttar Pradesh, India, following the circulation of viral videos on social media.

In Ghaziabad, footage shows a group of men surrounding and assaulting a young man near a construction site. The victim was repeatedly struck before being pushed into a nearby drain. Public outrage has intensified following allegations that a police officer was seen watching the altercation without intervening. Local residents are demanding an investigation into the incident and the perceived lack of law enforcement response.

In Hathras, a young man identified as Shiv Kumar was critically injured in Wajidpur market during an attack by four or five individuals. The victim's family alleges the attackers used iron rods and bars to beat him, dragged him along the road using a cloth noose around his neck, and urinated on him while he was incapacitated. Following the viral spread of the video, police have initiated an investigation. Shiv Kumar was referred to a higher medical center due to the severity of his injuries.
