Uttar Pradesh rolls out 5,500 projects worth over ₹62,000 crore and tops India's power‑supply records

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated or laid the foundation for more than 5,551 development projects across all districts of Uttar Pradesh during April‑June, committing over ₹62,282 crore. The initiatives span roads, bridges, medical colleges, sports infrastructure, industrial parks, urban and rural development, water supply, tourism and digital facilities. Notable projects include the 36,000‑crore Ganga Expressway, the Noida International Airport, a Centre of Excellence for AI and emerging technologies in Gorakhpur, a pharma park on 1,500 acres in Lalitpur, and a new government medical college in Lalitpur.

The state also set a national record for electricity demand supply, delivering a peak of 32,673 MW on 24 June, surpassing other large states such as Maharashtra and Gujarat. Uttar Pradesh maintained near‑continuous power in major cities (24 hours) and 22‑24 hours in rural areas, highlighting improvements in grid management and infrastructure under the Yogi government.
