Uttar Pradesh unveils ₹59,000 crore supplementary budget focusing on infrastructure, health and agriculture

The Yogi Adityanath‑led Uttar Pradesh government presented a supplementary budget for FY 2026‑27 with a total demand of about ₹59,019.54 crore. The package is heavily weighted toward capital investment, allocating roughly ₹15,690 crore to roads, expressways and related projects such as the Ganga Expressway extensions, a greenfield link to Jevar Airport and the Vindhya Expressway.

Health and family‑welfare spending rises sharply, with ₹2,000.25 crore earmarked for the department, including a ₹1,500 crore boost for the National Health Mission. An additional ₹23.25 crore will fund new AYUSH medical colleges in the Agra, Basti, Gonda, Meerut and Mirzapur divisions.

The budget also sets aside funds for agriculture and youth schemes, promises extra resources for rural infrastructure, and proposes a ₹10 crore allocation to upgrade the Raja Todarmal Survey and Land Records Training Institute into a university, together with a ₹1.46 crore provision for training of land‑revenue officials.
