Uttarakhand CM announces state-level Haritalika Teej celebrations
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the Haritalika Teej festival will henceforth be organized at the government level with greater grandeur. He made this declaration while attending the Gorkha women's Haritalika Teej celebration at Jaswant Singh Ground in Garhi Cantt.
Dhami highlighted the significant contributions of the Gorkha community to the development of Uttarakhand in sectors such as education, sports, arts, literature, and social service. He also noted the community's historical bravery and role in national security.
Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the ‘Azad Hind Fauj Shaheed Dwar’ in the Mussoorie assembly constituency to honor the memory of martyr Captain Dal Bahadur Thapa. He remarked that the memorial would serve as a symbol of the Gorkha community's sacrifice and patriotism for future generations.
Regarding international relations, Dhami emphasized the deep-rooted cultural and familial ties between India and Nepal, expressing solidarity with Nepal following recent natural disasters in the country.
