Uttarakhand CM Dhami unveils new police insignia and criticizes Congress

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the Uttarakhand Police Gaurav Chinh, a new insignia of honour, during a Vigilance Awareness Week event in Dehradun. The ceremony, held under the theme “Prosperity through Integrity,” marks the first update to the police force's identity and uniform in approximately 18 years.

In separate remarks in Dehradun, Dhami criticized the Congress party, alleging it is “dangerous for the people when in power and harmful to the nation when out of power.” The Chief Minister addressed upcoming opposition protests regarding electoral roll revisions, accusing them of spreading misinformation and attempting to create an “atmosphere of disorder.” He also cautioned against foreign attempts to engineer regime change through anarchy.
