Uttarakhand CM launches student portal and educational support initiative

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’ portal during an event in Dehradun. The initiative includes an essay competition titled ‘My Vision for a Developed Uttarakhand: My Perspective for a Developed State’.

The state government will honor 140 top-performing students from this competition. Additionally, the government will cover coaching fees and other necessary expenses for these 140 winners to prepare for prestigious competitive exams, including NEET, JEE, CLAT, and SAT, to ensure financial barriers do not hinder their higher education goals.

Over 300,000 students from 2,828 government and private schools participated virtually. During the dialogue, students suggested increasing sports opportunities, such as holding sports periods four days a week, enhancing higher education, promoting tourism, and prioritizing environmental conservation alongside development. Chief Minister Dhami instructed officials to prepare action plans based on these suggestions and stated they would be integrated into government policies.
