Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami inspects road infrastructure projects
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has inspected several key infrastructure projects aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity for pilgrims and tourists across the state.
In Rudraprayag, a new 1.18-kilometer route featuring a 200-meter bridge over the Alaknanda River and a 900.30-meter tunnel has commenced trial vehicle movement. Built at a cost of 156 crore rupees, this project connects Kedarnath National Highway 107 directly to Badrinath National Highway 07, allowing travelers to bypass the Rudraprayag market area.
Additionally, the Chief Minister inspected the construction site of the Amritpur Bypass to address heavy traffic jams near Kainchi Dham. During recent long weekends, the area saw over 45,000 devotees in a single day, significantly exceeding the usual 20,000 to 25,000 visitors. Dhami instructed officials to accelerate construction and ensure high quality, noting that the necessary budget has already been approved to prevent delays.
