Uttarakhand CM urges visits to Rudranath Temple

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has encouraged citizens to visit the Shri Rudranath Temple, located in the Chamoli district. As one of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage sites, the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is noted for its natural beauty and spiritual significance.

The temple's gates opened on May 18 for the annual six-month period of worship and are scheduled to close for the winter season on October 17. Reaching the temple requires a trek of approximately 20 to 22 kilometers through alpine meadows, offering views of Himalayan peaks such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Nanda Ghunti.

Additionally, Chief Minister Dhami extended greetings to the people of the state for the Jagda festival. This traditional folk festival, celebrated in the Jaunsar-Bawar tribal region, honors Mahasu Devta and serves as a symbol of local culture, faith, and social unity.
