Uttarakhand Congress protests for justice in Ankita Bhandari case

The Uttarakhand Congress organized a protest and peace march on the death anniversary of Ankita Bhandari to demand transparency and expedited action in the ongoing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe.

Led by Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal, party members gathered near the Vanantra resort in Yamkeshwar to pay floral tributes. Leaders, including Pritam Singh and Harak Singh Rawat, called for an impartial investigation into the case, specifically demanding that the government address alleged ‘VIP’ involvement.

Congress representatives stated that the struggle for justice would continue until the victim's family receives clear answers and the truth regarding the circumstances of her death is revealed. They characterized the case as a significant issue regarding the safety of women and the integrity of the justice system in Uttarakhand.
