Uttarakhand Governor launches AI-for-All program with Doon University and IIT Madras

Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh inaugurated the AI-for-All initiative for Uttarakhand’s higher‑education institutions at Lok Bhawan. The programme is a partnership between Doon University, IIT Madras, the SWAYAM Plus platform and the IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation. It will deliver a suite of AI‑focused courses – including AI/ML with Python, AI in physics, chemistry, accounting, and specialised tracks for educators and engineering students – through online and campus‑based delivery.

The launch also introduced the Aarohi incubator, an AI newsletter and “Operation Kalki”, an AI‑enabled van that will bring AI solutions to every district. Under “Operation Aarohi”, student ideas across the state will be nurtured and incubated, and ten AI‑driven startups were showcased for their potential to address everyday challenges.
