Uttarakhand officials warn of fake job merit list scam

A fraudulent merit list for clerk and junior assistant positions at the Haldwani Municipal Corporation has surfaced on social media in Uttarakhand. The fake document misappropriates the name of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) and includes forged signatures of the Commission’s Secretary.

Some candidates reportedly received emails claiming they had been selected and were instructed to appear for interviews at the Haldwani Municipal Corporation with specific documents. The UKSSSC has officially clarified that it did not issue any such list or emails. The Commission noted that the recruitment process for junior assistant positions has already been completed and results have been released.

UKSSSC Chairman GS Martolia has urged candidates to remain vigilant against fraudulent documents and to report any suspicious emails or recruitment-related contact to the police immediately.
