Uttarakhand students meet West Bengal Governor for cultural exchange

A delegation of college students from Uttarakhand met with West Bengal Governor R. N. Ravi on October 8 as part of the Union Education Ministry’s Yuva Sangam initiative. The interaction focused on learning and cultural exchange, aiming to strengthen connections among youth from different regions of India.

The visit is part of Phase VII of the Yuva Sangam programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, which seeks to foster national integration. The program allows participants from 20 paired States and Union Territories to engage with diverse cultural traditions, educational institutions, and innovation ecosystems.

The Uttarakhand delegation, with Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University serving as its nodal institute, began its visit to West Bengal on October 7. The delegation is being hosted by IIT Kharagpur, which is facilitating opportunities for students to explore the state’s cultural, spiritual, and educational landscape.
