Uttarakhand CM Dhami announces Youth Commission and industrial parks
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced several major development initiatives, including the establishment of the state’s first Youth Commission to focus on education and training. Additionally, the government plans to develop three new special industrial parks in Chamoli, Pauri, and Almora. Other welfare measures include increased state assistance for the PM Awas Yojana, entrepreneurship support for youth aged 18 to 30, and extended timelines for land regularization.
On a separate note, Chief Minister Dhami paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, describing him as a ‘visionary thinker’ and a ‘guardian of democratic values.’
In a political development, Dhami accused the Congress party of engaging in divisive caste politics. This follows a controversy regarding the ‘purification’ of the Ramlila ground in Haldwani after a Congress rally, an action Dhami defended as a protest against religious slogans and littering.
