Boral described the chaotic atmosphere in the stands, noting that the false information led to initial celebrations among players and fans. He recalled seeing teammate Emre Belözoğlu collapse due to the emotional distress of the situation, stating, “I saw Emre, he had fainted! He was brought in on a stretcher.” Boral described the subsequent realization of the loss as a period of mourning for the club.
