Uğur Haliloğlu addresses allegations following death of Sezen Taş

Uğur Haliloğlu, the former husband of Sezen Taş, has issued a statement addressing various social media allegations following the death of Taş. Sezen Taş, the 34-year-old daughter of singer Atilla Taş, passed away after falling from the 14th floor of an apartment building in Mersin.

Haliloğlu denied claims that the couple was in the midst of a conflict or a divorce process at the time of her death, stating that they had legally and mutually divorced 11 months prior. He also rejected allegations that he had kidnapped their two children, asserting that the children had traveled to Trabzon with him at Sezen Taş’s own request and with the guidance of pedagogues.

Haliloğlu stated that the personal struggles and the circumstances leading to her death would remain private out of respect for her memory and the privacy of their children. He indicated that legal action would be taken against those spreading what he described as false claims and a “lynch campaign” online.
