Uvi raises $7.5M to provide context for AI agents
Uvi, an Israeli startup, has emerged from stealth with $7.5 million in seed funding to provide context to AI agents. The funding round was led by CT Innovations and Cardumen, with participation from Mana VC, 91 Ventures, and Gaingles VC.
The company’s software aims to solve the problem of scattered corporate knowledge by connecting AI models to tools like Slack, Jira, Confluence, and various codebases. By creating a centralized semantic layer and knowledge graph, Uvi allows AI agents to understand company-specific decisions and history without needing to relearn information every time a model is updated or swapped.
In internal testing, Uvi reported that company-built agents cost approximately eight times more and took more than twice as long to respond compared to those using Uvi’s platform. The company noted that while frontier models are rented, corporate context is owned. Uvi is currently used by companies including Lemonade, monday.com, and Melio.
