UWI Five Islands Campus launches first Bachelor of Laws programme

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus has launched its inaugural Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme. The first cohort of students officially commenced classes for the 2026/2027 academic year, marking a significant expansion of the campus's academic offerings in Antigua and Barbuda.

The pioneering group includes students from Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, and St. Kitts and Nevis. This new programme allows students to pursue legal studies locally rather than relocating to other UWI campuses. While the Five Islands Campus manages day-to-day delivery, the programme is academically linked to UWI Mona, which provides curriculum oversight, quality assurance, and academic governance.

The inaugural class is expected to graduate in 2029.
