Uxue Barkos to lead Geroa Bai in Navarra elections

Uxue Barkos has announced her candidacy as the leader of Geroa Bai for the upcoming regional elections in Navarra. Barkos stated her decision is driven by a collective conviction to combat political extremism and prevent what she describes as a totalitarian advance in the region.

Barkos expressed concern regarding the growing influence of the People's Party (PP) and its potential collaboration with Vox in various institutions. She challenged the UPN to clarify whether they would govern with Vox's support in Navarra or support a national government led by Feijóo with Vox's votes. Her stated ambition is to preside over the government to ensure a democratic, progressive, and pluralistic administration.
