UYBA 3x3 Basketball Tournament concludes in Noida

The inaugural UYBA 3x3 Basketball Tournament concluded at the Noida Indoor Stadium following two days of competition on August 8 and 9. Organized by the Ulhas YuviPep Basketball Academy, the event featured over 150 teams from 20 Indian states, involving more than 800 young players across four age categories: U10, U12, U14, and U19.

Participants traveled from various regions, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and several northern states. A total prize pool of 2 lakh rupees was distributed among the winners. Major Deepak Yadav, Director of the Sports Authority of India, attended as the chief guest.

In related developments for the sport in India, the Basketball Federation of India announced that Ahmedabad will host the FIBA U18 Asia Cup in 2026, marking the tournament's return to the country after 22 years. Additionally, officials are planning the launch of a professional basketball league by 2027 to further support player career opportunities.
