Uzbek Woman Deported After Claiming Massage Job on Turkish TV
Uzbek citizen Mokhichekhra Bakhtiyorovna, 38, appeared as an audience member on Hasan Can Kaya’s talk show “Konuşanlar” (episode 209, aired 10 April 2026). During the broadcast she introduced herself as “Melike” and said she worked as a “Professional and VIP Massage Specialist.”
Istanbul police, operating a “virtual patrol” unit that monitors digital platforms, investigated the claim. Checks showed she held a residence permit in Turkey but no work permit. The Immigration and Border Control Directorate detained her at her Üsküdar address, transferred her to Istanbul Police, and subsequently placed her in the Arnavutköy return centre for deportation.
The case highlights Turkey’s enforcement of immigration and labour‑law regulations against undocumented foreign workers appearing in media.
