Uzbekistan hosts Eternal Brotherhood-5 special forces exercise

Troops from Pakistan and four other nations participated in the Eternal Brotherhood-5 multinational special forces exercise held in Uzbekistan from September 13 to 25, 2026. The participating countries included Pakistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, with Kazakhstan attending as an observer.

The exercise was designed to enhance cooperation, coordination, and professional capabilities among special forces. During the drills, participating units exchanged experiences regarding modern military operations, combat tactics, and methods for addressing various security challenges. The event served to demonstrate growing defense cooperation and strengthen military ties and mutual trust among the involved nations.

In addition to this exercise, the Pakistan Army has engaged in other recent joint military activities, including the Druzhba-IX exercise with Russian forces and the Washaq Al Jabal-II exercise with Omani forces.
