World Cup 2026 group stage: Brazil defeats Haiti 3‑0, Switzerland beats Bosnia 4‑1

Brazil secured a 3‑0 victory over Haiti in the Group G match at Lincoln Financial Field, clinching the top position in the group with four points and eliminating Haiti from the tournament. Matheus Kúnia opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and added a second in the 36th, while Vinícius finished the trio of goals in stoppage time of the first half (45+3). Haiti’s Rafinha was forced off with a muscle injury. Brazil now prepares to face Scotland for a place among the final‑32.

In Group H, Switzerland overcame Bosnia and Herzegovina 4‑1 in Los Ángeles. The match was goalless until a pair of late substitutions – Manzábi and Várgás – turned the tide after the 74th minute, scoring three of the four goals. Bosnia were reduced to ten men after a red card to Musha Mouchareb. The win puts Switzerland at the summit of the group with four points, putting them on the brink of qualification for the knockout stage.
