Uzbekistan President signs law defining Presidential Administration

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a new constitutional law regarding the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The law aims to address previous legal gaps by formally regulating the Administration’s relationship with other state bodies and strengthening the legal foundations of the presidency.

The new legislation consists of four chapters and 34 articles. It defines the Administration as a state body responsible for providing organizational, legal, and analytical support for the President’s constitutional powers. The Administration is formed by the President, operates according to directions set by the President, and is directly accountable to him.

Key responsibilities outlined in the law include: – Preparing drafts of presidential decrees, decisions, and orders, as well as organizing and monitoring their implementation. – Developing new initiatives for the country’s socio-economic and socio-political development. – Organizing direct communication with the public and entrepreneurs to find solutions to their issues. – Preparing laws for signature or return. – Organizing the President’s address to the Oliy Majlis. – Coordinating the activities of state bodies and organizations that are directly subordinate to the President.
