Uzungöl Winter Festival organizers seek support for expanded event
The Uzungöl Festival Association is preparing for the second annual Uzungöl Winter Festival in Trabzon, aiming to significantly expand upon the success of its inaugural event. Following last year's festival, which hosted over 214,000 visitors in three days, organizers are targeting a turnout of between 400,000 and 500,000 visitors this year.
To support this growth, the association's leadership has conducted a series of high-level meetings in Ankara and Trabzon. During a meeting in Ankara, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu expressed his readiness to provide all necessary support, noting that Uzungöl is a vital tourism brand for both the Trabzon region and Turkey as a whole.
In addition to the Minister, the delegation met with officials from the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) and local political representatives to discuss logistics, including transportation, accommodation, security, and parking. The goal of the festival is to transform Uzungöl from a summer-centric destination into a year-round tourism hub by establishing a strong winter tourism presence.
