V-21 highway closed near Valencia due to fallen high-voltage cable
The V-21 highway between Valencia and Port Saplaya has been closed in both directions following an incident early Saturday, October 10. A high-voltage power cable fell onto the roadway after a vegetation fire occurred in the Alboraia orchard area around 4:00 AM.
The closure affects the stretch between kilometers 14 and 18, causing significant traffic congestion and leaving many drivers stranded for hours. Some commuters reported that trips normally lasting 20 minutes took up to four hours due to the gridlock.
Emergency coordination centers have established alternative routes via the A-7, CV-35, and Avenida de los Naranjos. Technical teams are working on-site to resolve the issue, with full reopening of the V-21 expected by 9:00 PM.
