V for Vendetta returns to theaters for 20th anniversary

The film V for Vendetta is returning to theaters for a limited 20th-anniversary engagement. Organized by Fathom Entertainment in collaboration with Warner Bros. and DC Vertigo, the special screenings are scheduled for November 1 and November 5.

In addition to the film, audiences will have access to an exclusive featurette titled ‘Freedom Forever.’ This segment features director James McTeigue reflecting on the film’s enduring themes of freedom, identity, and resistance, as well as the artistic influences that shaped the production.

To promote the event, a new anniversary trailer has been released, featuring a reimagined version of Tchaikovsky’s ‘1812 Overture’ by Jonathan Snipes of the hip-hop group Clipping. The film, based on the graphic novel by Alan Moore and David Lloyd, stars Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman.
