Vũ Đình Quang arrested for 17 billion VND land fraud

An Giang provincial police have arrested and prosecuted Vũ Đình Quang, a 54-year-old resident of Rạch Giá, for fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to initial investigations, Quang falsely promised to facilitate the issuance of land use right certificates for forest land located in the Phú Quốc area. Despite knowing the land was state-managed forest land, Quang entered into agreements to process the paperwork and subsequently embezzled a total of 17 billion VND. Authorities are continuing their investigation to clarify the case and proceed with legal action.
