Viseu hosts official dinner and launches '100 Destino' at Portugal's 12th Vê Portugal tourism forum
The 12th edition of the Vê Portugal internal tourism forum opened in Viseu, Portugal, organized by Turismo Centro de Portugal (TCP) together with the municipality. The opening night featured the official dinner at the Expocenter, chaired by Secretary of State for Tourism Pedro Machado. Awards were presented to Vista Alegre (brand), Valverde Santar Hotel & Spa (hotel), Restaurante Mugasa (restaurant), the Starlight Aldeias do Xisto project (sustainability), the Maratona da Europa (event) and, posthumously, former TCP president Raul Almeida (personality).
During the same day TCP launched the audiovisual series “100 Destino”, a two‑year project that will visit the 100 municipalities of Portugal’s Centre region. Presented by Mariana Moreno and Miguel Mendes Pedro, the first episode focused on Viseu and will be supported by digital content and an interactive app.
The forum also introduced the Vê Portugal Lab, themed “A Inteligência do Turismo não é Artificial, é Colaborativa”, with a presentation by TCP’s director Sílvia Ribau and a workshop led by João Peral. A parallel B2B matchmaking session at the Solar do Vinho do Dão brought together about 20 buyers and an equal number of regional suppliers, fostering future tourism partnerships.
