V Santhakumaran Nair, father of cricketer S Sreesanth, dies at 89

V Santhakumaran Nair, the father of former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth, has passed away at the age of 89. He died while undergoing treatment at Lisie Hospital in Kochi.

A retired zonal manager for the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India, Nair was a native of Mathirappilly in Kothamangalam. Following the arrival of relatives from abroad, his body will be laid in state at the family's ancestral home in Kothamangalam on Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm for public viewing. The funeral and cremation are scheduled to take place later that day at 4 pm.

He is survived by his wife, T N Savithridevi, and four children: Deepu, Nivedita, Divya, and S Sreesanth.
