VA and MedPAC highlight healthcare leadership and veteran services

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and MedPAC have highlighted various initiatives regarding healthcare leadership and veteran services. Dr. Amol Navathe, Chair of MedPAC, delivered a presentation at the Healthcare Leadership Council’s fall meeting.

The VA recently held its eighth annual Customer Experience (CX) Symposium, which engaged 1,700 public servants in sessions focused on improving veteran-centered service through human-centered design and feedback tools. Additionally, the VA is promoting career development opportunities, including the Investing in VA Nursing (IVAN) program in Minnesota and the Graduate Healthcare Administration Training Program (GHATP).

On an individual level, Army Veteran Misty Johnson shared her journey of overcoming multiple sclerosis and legal blindness to complete an Ironman triathlon.
