Vía Rosario expresses interest in Necochea bus service

Following two failed bidding processes that yielded no participants, interest has resurfaced regarding the public bus service for Necochea and Quequén. The company Vía Rosario has formally submitted a letter of intent to the Deliberative Council, expressing interest in developing an “agile and modern urban transport” system tailored to local connectivity needs.

In addition to Vía Rosario, a second company currently operating in Azul has also expressed interest in the service. While these expressions of interest are concrete, they do not constitute formal offers, as the municipality has not yet approved a new set of terms and conditions for a future concession.

The Transport Commission of the Deliberative Council plans to meet with representatives from Vía Rosario to discuss their proposed service conditions and necessary modifications. This step aims to identify the difficulties that caused previous tenders to fail and to ensure the viability of a future bidding process.
