Balkan Compass project connects youth through travel in the Balkans

The ‘Balkan Compass’ project recently concluded a multi-country journey involving over 60 participants, including youth from Brzesko and surrounding areas in the Małopolska Voivodeship, as well as residents from children's homes in Jasień and Wróblówka. The initiative aimed to foster integration, community building, and cultural exchange through travel across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Montenegro.

A central component of the trip was a visit to Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina to attend the ‘Do źródeł’ International Youth Festival. Participants engaged in prayer and met youth from around the world. The group also visited the Cenacolo Community, where they heard testimonies from individuals overcoming addiction, providing a lesson on hope and personal change.

In addition to spiritual activities, the program included adventure activities such as rafting in Bosnia and Herzegovina, exploring the Bay of Kotor, and visiting various coastal sites in Croatia and Montenegro.
