Vaccination campaigns launch in Sinaloa and Tocoa
In Sinaloa, Mexico, the Ministry of Health has launched the 2026 winter vaccination season for influenza, COVID-19, and HPV. Health Secretary Dr. Cuitláhuac González Galindo announced plans to administer 917,000 influenza doses and over 40,000 HPV vaccines, targeting children, adolescents, seniors, and individuals with chronic conditions.
In Tocoa, Honduras, the Integral Health Center (CIS) reported high demand for pediatric vaccinations following a week-long service hiatus. Health official Isis Portillo urged parents to complete national vaccination schedules, noting that children require doses at 15 and 18 months and must remain updated until age five. Portillo also emphasized the importance of vitamin A supplements and advised parents to arrive early, as administrative tasks begin around midday.
