Vaccination drives launched in Uruguay and Argentina

Health authorities in Uruguay and Argentina are conducting vaccination drives to improve immunization coverage.

In Uruguay, a spontaneous vaccination session for meningococcus is being held at CAMCEL 3 in Melo. Following high demand during a previous session where 200 children were vaccinated, this unscheduled session is open to children aged 9 to 15. The drive operates on a first-come, first-served basis from 11:00 to 19:00, requiring a valid ID.

In Córdoba, Argentina, the Municipality and the Provincial Ministry of Health are implementing various actions as part of Vaccination Month. Free access to the National Vaccination Calendar will be provided at several locations, including the Dirección de Especialidades Médicas, the Dr. Sixto Gerardo González Municipal Children's Hospital, and the Príncipe de Asturias Municipal Hospital.

In addition to routine vaccines, health services will offer doses for dengue and Covid-19, as well as the Nirsevimab monoclonal antibody to protect infants against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). Residents are encouraged to bring their ID and vaccination records to ensure accurate updates to their medical history.
