Vaggeryd council debates 2.7 million SEK buyout of social services chief

During a municipal council meeting in Vaggeryd, discussions arose regarding the buyout of former social services chief Lotta Damberg. The settlement totaled 2.7 million SEK, equivalent to 27 monthly salaries.

Political representatives expressed varying views on the expenditure. Center Party member Ulf Abrahamsson criticized the municipal executive board, noting that the municipality has spent seven million SEK on three such buyouts this year. Kenth Williamsson, chairman of the municipal executive board, responded that officials hold the delegation and responsibility for personnel matters and decisions.

Other topics addressed in the general political debate included the placement of the new Säbo service housing, a planned swimming hall, and various local development and infrastructure projects.
