Vahide Biricik becomes Reyhanlı's first female real estate agent

Vahide Biricik, a 46-year-old mother of five, has become the first female real estate agent in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, Turkey. Having opened her office in 2019 to fulfill a childhood dream, she has spent the last seven years building a business in a male-dominated sector.

Biricik noted that she initially faced gender misconceptions, with some clients mistakenly addressing her as 'Vahit abi' over the phone. However, she has found that her presence provides increased comfort and trust for female clients, who feel more at ease viewing properties with her.

Supported by her husband, retired military officer Cuma Biricik, she balances her professional life with extensive domestic and agricultural responsibilities. After working until 6:00 PM, she manages household duties and gardening at her home in the Kuşaklı neighborhood.
